India is a mystical land of seductive images. It is also India's vastness that challenges the imagination, being home to one sixth of the world's population. The modern India got its independence from Britain in 1947 after a long struggle led mostly by Mahatma Gandhi. However, the country was divided into two countries, in the process of becoming independent. India is a country of diversity and complexity; it is natural to find that people here reflect diverse culture, traditions and values and the rich glories of the past, habits and food that will always remain truly Indian. Ethnically Indians speak different languages, follow different religions, and eat the most diverse varieties of food all of which add to the rich Indian culture.

India as all of us know is a very large country with diverse cultures and fascinating change of race, color, creed and places. Most people however imagine India as a hot country with only places of historical importance and fantastical legends. There are various travelling and trekking routes in India; all of them spread across the country. It is important to note that these trekking trails however are filled with very different experiences compared to each other. While the most popular of them being the Garwal trek, Darjeeling and Arunachal Pradesh too brags a legacy of a trail being followed by hikers all over the world for more than five decades. The land where the Buddha lived and preached, and where the Moghul Muslims erected the Taj Mahal, has recreated itself as both a majority Hindu nation and the world's largest secular democracy, home to almost one thousand million people.
